25 velocity-sensitive mini keys: The keyboard on the MPK Mini MK3 is small but responsive, making it ideal for playing simple melodies or chord progressions. The velocity-sensitive keys ensure that the volume of each note varies depending on how hard you press the keys.
Eight backlit MPC-style pads: The pads on the MPK Mini MK3 can be used for drum programming, triggering samples, or playing melodies. They are velocity-sensitive and backlit, making it easy to see which pads are active in low-light situations.

About Akai
Akai (Japanese: 赤井, pronounced [a̠ka̠i]) is a Hong Kong manufacturer of consumer electronics. It was founded as Akai Electric Company Ltd in Tokyo, Japan, in 1946.
